My work is continually changing and evolving - every painting is a new adventure with a new set of challenges.

I find myself looking at the world as one enormous painting - everything is colors, shapes, tone and mood: Enjoying the view and considering all that makes it, how elements relate to one another and what's most important at that moment... appreciating, honing my observation skills and subsequently transferring all onto a canvas using artistic licence and skill is where the challenge lies.

Art has been a life long passion, interpreting the scene via sketching, painting and photographing making everything come alive in a whole new way is what inspires me. "It makes the everyday more beautiful and in this way enriches my life. To share this anyway that I can with others adds an extra dimension of joy to living”. My style is realistic or realism, sometimes more painterly, sometimes a bit impressionistic and at other times quite abstract. Different subjects and subject matter inspire different ways of painting.

I have studied with many recognised Australian artists including Michael Zaiter, Kevin Best, John Wilson, Dave Thomas, Colina Grant, Allan Fizzel, Joseph Bezzina & Cathy Harry. I would like to think of this website as a place that you can escape to, somewhere comfortable which allows you to slow yourself down and contemplate. So take your time, be inspired, energized and above all enjoy the journey.

It's not just the scenery you miss out on by going too fast - you also miss the sense of where you are going and why. Take a step back, relax, evaluate what is important and enjoy yourself.
